ConnectWise PSA pricing is not published. ConnectWise sells three packages, Basic, Standard, and Premium, and every one is priced by custom quote per user. Third party figures fall into two camps that differ by roughly three times: per tier estimates of about $35, $45 to $55, and $65 or more per user per month, and negotiated contract data from Vendr of $95 to $145 per user per month for MSPs with 10 to 25 users. Ticket auto assign and workflow automation are in every package, so routing is not what pushes you up a tier. What routing really costs an MSP is the dispatcher time it takes to make it work.

Below is what ConnectWise lists in each package, what the outside numbers are and where they come from, a worked cost for a 15 technician shop, and the questions to ask before you sign a multi year term.

ConnectWise PSA packages: Basic vs Standard vs Premium

The ConnectWise PSA pricing page, checked in September 2026, shows no dollar figures at all. It shows three packages and a button to request a custom quote. The feature lists are the part you can rely on:

PackageConnectWise positioningWhat the package adds
BasicIdeal for supporting a few end users and small groups of machinesTicketing, project and opportunity management, asset management (configurations), finance and billing, Email Connector, workflow automation, calendar synchronization, mobile app
StandardMost popular; better for supporting end users and unattended devicesEverything in Basic plus agreement management, procurement and inventory, GL integration, user based billing, knowledge base, Office 365 billing, monitoring and management
PremiumSuperior support featuresEverything in Standard plus marketing campaign management, cloud database access, sandbox, Cisco billing and monitoring, cloud infrastructure billing and monitoring

For most MSPs the real line is between Basic and Standard. Agreement management is where managed services contracts, recurring billing, and agreement based SLAs live, and very few MSPs selling monthly contracts can run without it. That makes Standard the practical floor for a managed services business, and Basic a fit for break fix shops and small internal IT teams.

How much does ConnectWise PSA cost per user?

ConnectWise PSA typically costs somewhere between $35 and $145 per user per month, and where you land depends far more on seat count, term length, and bundling than on the package name. The spread comes from two sources that measure different things.

SourceFigureWhat it measures
Per tier estimates repeated across MSP software blogs, attributed to TrustRadius and third party sourcesBasic about $35, Standard about $45 to $55, Premium $65 or more, per user per monthList style estimates by package, not contracts
Vendr marketplace, negotiated PSA rates$95 to $145 per user per month for 10 to 25 users; $75 to $110 for 50 or more usersWhat buyers actually signed, after negotiation
Vendr marketplace, all ConnectWise productsMedian annual contract $21,630, range $6,066 to $167,281Whole account spend, often PSA bundled with RMM and remote access

Treat the low figures with care. They are the ones you find most often, but none of the articles repeating them links to a price sheet, and they sit well below the contract data. The Vendr numbers come from real purchases but bundle in whatever else the buyer signed. Neither is a quote. The only number that means anything for your shop is the per user figure ConnectWise puts in writing, so ask for it that way, separated from any bundle.

The same Vendr page lists the cost drivers that move a quote: multi year commitments at 10 to 20 percent lower annual cost than a one year deal, bundles at 15 to 25 percent lower than buying products separately, and running a competitive evaluation at 10 to 20 percent lower. It also lists onboarding and implementation at $10,000 to $50,000 and add on modules adding 10 to 25 percent to annual cost. Other sources quote implementation far lower, as little as $500 to $2,000 for a small shop, which tells you how much depends on whether you buy a guided onboarding package or configure it yourself.

What a 15 technician MSP pays in a year

Take an MSP with 15 technicians and service desk staff who all need a full PSA seat. Using the two ranges above, the license line alone looks like this:

ScenarioPer user per month15 users, per year
Low third party estimate, Standard$45 to $55$8,100 to $9,900
Vendr negotiated range, 10 to 25 users$95 to $145$17,100 to $26,100

Add implementation and any modules, and first year spend for this shop is plausibly anywhere from about $10,000 to well over $40,000. That range is wide because the public data is wide. Two quotes from ConnectWise resellers or directly from ConnectWise, each asked for a per user figure, narrow it faster than any article can.

Does ticket auto assign need a higher ConnectWise package?

No. The ConnectWise documentation for the service board Auto Assign tab applies to PSA Basic, PSA Standard, and PSA Premium, and workflow automation is listed in the Basic package. Round robin teams, the daily cap per technician, and workflow rule actions such as Assign Resource and Assign Team are all available without an upgrade. If a sales rep suggests you need Premium to route tickets, ask which specific feature, because the package list does not support it.

There is one Premium only item that matters for routing: sandbox. Skills based round robin depends on activating the Round Robin Manage Lab, and Manage Labs features have been described by ConnectWise partners as technical previews to test before production. Without Premium, that testing happens on live tickets. We cover the mechanics, including why ConnectWise auto assign ignores any ticket moved in from another board, on its own page.

The routing cost that does not appear on the quote

The license is the visible cost. The larger one on most MSP boards is the person who reads the board every morning and decides who takes what. Native round robin in ConnectWise picks the next technician with an empty calendar block and books 30 minutes for the ticket, which works when every technician keeps a calendar and falls apart when some do not. Workflow rules can fill the gaps, but in the cloud they run at most every 10 minutes, do not run on child tickets, and switch themselves to inactive whenever someone edits them.

So most shops past a few hundred tickets a month end up with a dispatcher, or with a senior technician who spends part of every day dispatching instead of billing. That time is the real price of routing inside PSA, and it grows with every technician you add. When you size a ConnectWise purchase, count it next to the license line.

The other cost worth counting is on the finance side. Standard is where agreement billing lives, and billing accuracy only pays off if the invoices it produces actually get collected. Shops that still chase unpaid monthly contract invoices by hand often find accounts receivable automation recovers more cash than a better PSA tier ever will.

Questions to ask before you sign

  • What is the per user price, unbundled? Ask for PSA on its own line, separate from RMM, remote access, or security products.
  • Which roles need a full seat? Dispatchers, service managers, and finance staff who touch tickets or invoices usually do. Get it in writing before you count heads.
  • What happens at renewal? Ask about price increase provisions directly. Multi year discounts are real, but so is being locked in.
  • What is included in onboarding? The gap between a $2,000 and a $50,000 implementation is mostly whether someone builds your boards, workflows, and agreements for you.
  • Do you need Premium for sandbox? If you plan to change routing or workflow rules often, a safe place to test them has real value.

Where Assigner fits in a ConnectWise stack

Assigner does not replace ConnectWise PSA. Tickets, time, agreements, and billing stay where they are. It replaces the dispatch decision: each new or moved ticket is assigned to one technician based on who is available, how much open work they hold, their skills, and the client or contract, using round robin, weighted rotation, load balancing, or priority rules your team writes. Every assignment records a plain reason, so a service manager can see why a ticket went to a given technician instead of guessing.

Pricing is published, not quoted: $12 per user per month billed yearly, or $15 billed monthly. For the 15 technician shop above that is $2,160 a year on top of the PSA license. You can run the engine on sample tickets in the demo, read how it handles MSP ticket assignment across contracts and SLAs, or compare it with another technician licensed help desk in our ServiceDesk Plus technician license cost breakdown.

ConnectWise PSA pricing FAQ

Does ConnectWise publish PSA pricing?

No. The ConnectWise PSA pricing page lists the Basic, Standard, and Premium packages and their features, then asks you to request a custom quote. Every dollar figure you see online is a third party estimate or contract data, not an official price.

Is ConnectWise PSA priced per user or per technician?

Per user. Third party sources and buyer data describe PSA as a per user per month license, and anyone who works tickets, dispatches, or handles billing inside PSA typically needs a seat. Confirm which roles count before you finalize a quote, because it changes the total more than the package does.

What is the difference between ConnectWise PSA Standard and Premium?

Premium adds marketing campaign management, cloud database access, a sandbox, Cisco billing and monitoring, and cloud infrastructure billing and monitoring on top of Standard. Standard adds agreement management, procurement, GL integration, user based billing, and a knowledge base on top of Basic. Ticket routing is the same in all three.

Is ConnectWise Manage the same as ConnectWise PSA?

Yes. ConnectWise Manage was renamed ConnectWise PSA, and the documentation and most MSPs still use both names. Pricing sources that mention Manage are describing the same product.
