Gorgias Pricing per Ticket by Plan and When the Next Plan Is Cheaper
October 2026 · Assigner
Gorgias pricing is per ticket, not per agent. Monthly plans run $10 for Starter (50 tickets), $60 for Basic (300), $360 for Pro (2,000) and $900 for Advanced (5,000), with annual billing at $50, $300 and $750 on the three larger plans. Extra tickets cost $0.36 to $0.40 each, and Enterprise is quoted. Auto assignment and rules are available on every Helpdesk plan, so routing is not what you pay for. Volume is.
For a support lead or ecommerce operator choosing a plan, the useful question is not the list price but where your monthly ticket count sits against the plan boundaries. A store at 3,300 tickets a month can pay less on a bigger plan than on a smaller one. This guide shows the figures, the break even points, and what the assignment side costs once your desk grows past a few agents. Our guide to Gorgias auto assign and ticket assignment rules covers the routing mechanics in detail.
How much does Gorgias cost per month?
The numbers below come from the Gorgias pricing page, read October 31, 2026. Prices are in USD and Gorgias notes that they can differ by region.
| Plan | Billed monthly | Billed annually (per month) | Tickets included | Extra ticket |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $10 | Not offered | 50 | $0.40 |
| Basic | $60 | $50 | 300 | $0.40 |
| Pro | $360 | $300 | 2,000 | $0.36 |
| Advanced | $900 | $750 | 5,000 | $0.36 |
| Enterprise | Custom quote | Above 5,000 conversations | Not listed | |
The page also lists an AI Agent add-on at $1.00 per automated interaction on monthly contracts and $0.90 on annual ones, with $1.50 for interactions above a plan allowance. Voice and SMS are add-ons without published figures. A 7 day trial with all features and no payment details is offered.
Does Gorgias charge per agent?
The pricing page does not state a seat count for any plan, and the headline unit is tickets. That is the opposite of Zendesk, Freshdesk or HaloPSA, where every added agent raises the bill. Our guides to Zendesk pricing per agent and Freshdesk pricing per user show how fast a seat model grows. With Gorgias, hiring a fifth agent does not change the helpdesk bill by itself. A spike in tickets does. Confirm the seat terms for your plan in the quote or the trial account before you commit, because the page leaves them out.
What does Gorgias cost at 1,000, 3,000 or 5,000 tickets a month?
Plan price plus overage gives the real number. The arithmetic below uses only the published rates, and annual billing means the monthly equivalent of the annual price.
| Tickets a month | Cheapest annual option | Monthly cost | Same volume on monthly billing |
|---|---|---|---|
| 250 | Basic | $50 | $60 |
| 1,000 | Pro | $300 | $360 |
| 2,500 | Pro with 500 extra | $480 | $540 |
| 3,500 | Advanced | $750 | $900 |
| 6,000 | Advanced with 1,000 extra | $1,110 | $1,260 |
When does the next Gorgias plan become cheaper?
Because overage is priced at $0.36 to $0.40 a ticket, each step up pays for itself earlier than the plan size suggests.
- Basic to Pro, annual: Basic costs $50 plus $0.40 per ticket above 300. Pro costs $300. They cross at about 925 tickets a month.
- Pro to Advanced, annual: Pro costs $300 plus $0.36 per ticket above 2,000. Advanced costs $750. They cross at 3,250 tickets a month.
- Pro to Advanced, monthly billing: $360 plus overage against $900 crosses at 3,500 tickets.
If you sit just under a crossover during a seasonal peak, moving up early often costs nothing extra. Run the numbers on your busiest month, not your average one, since Black Friday and a product recall both pull tickets in a way that overage punishes.
How much does the Gorgias AI Agent add-on cost?
The AI Agent is billed separately at $1.00 per automated interaction on monthly contracts and $0.90 on annual ones, and $1.50 per interaction beyond the allowance in your plan. The included allowance is 30 interactions on Starter and Basic, 190 on Pro and 530 on Advanced. Suppose automation resolves 1,000 order status questions a month on Pro. That is 810 beyond the allowance, or about $1,215 at the overage rate, which is several times the plan price. Model it against the cost of an agent handling the same tickets before you switch it on at scale.
What does Gorgias Enterprise cost?
Enterprise is a custom quote for stores above 5,000 conversations a month, and no figure is published. Ask for the overage rate at your volume, the seat terms, and whether voice and SMS volume is bundled. At that size an annual contract usually beats monthly billing, but only the written quote settles it.
Is auto assignment included in every Gorgias plan?
Yes. Gorgias states that auto assignment and rules are available on all Helpdesk plans, and that only the account owner and admins manage the assignment settings. Auto assign sends team tickets to agents who are signed in and Available, choosing the one with the fewest tickets, and it queues by priority and then by age. Rules can be created up to 70 and run in trigger order, then top to bottom. That is real capability for no extra cost, which is why most stores should use it first.
What does native Gorgias assignment not do?
It does not read skills inside a team, shift schedules or time off, and it treats every ticket as the same size. When all agents are at their capacity limit, tickets simply stay unassigned until someone frees up. Those gaps rarely matter with three equal agents. They matter once you have a returns specialist, a weekend crew in another time zone, or a VIP queue with a service promise. Teams then add more teams and more rules, and rule 41 of 70 becomes hard for anyone to explain.
What does a routing layer cost beside Gorgias?
Assigner is priced per user, which is the opposite unit from Gorgias. Starter is $7 per user per month billed yearly ($15 billed monthly), Team is $18 ($36), Business is $36 ($72) and Enterprise is $49 ($98), with a five user minimum. Counting every agent who receives tickets:
| Agents | Starter yearly | Team yearly | Business yearly |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5 | $420 | $1,080 | $2,160 |
| 8 | $672 | $1,728 | $3,456 |
| 15 | $1,260 | $3,240 | $6,480 |
Those totals are annual rates times 12 times the number of users, with taxes and connection work excluded. Match the plan to the routing policy you need. Assigner decides the owner by round robin, weighted rotation, load balancing, skills and live availability, and records the reason for each assignment. It does not replace Gorgias, and this site does not present a dedicated native connector, so treat the link as configuration work.
Is a routing layer worth it for a Gorgias desk?
Only if the misrouting costs more than the tool. A quick test: pull a week of tickets and count how many went to an agent who was off shift, how many specialist tickets landed with a generalist, and the gap between your busiest and lightest agent. Put a number on the rework. At a loaded cost of $30 an hour, two hours a week of a lead rebalancing queues by hand is about $3,100 a year, which is more than a ten agent Starter plan at $840. If your counts are small, stay with native assignment and spend the money on staffing for peaks.
How should you choose a Gorgias plan?
Start the 7 day trial with real traffic if you can, or take the last three months of ticket counts from your current helpdesk. Price the plan for your peak month and the one after it. Ask whether seats are limited on your plan, and what channels count as tickets for your volume, since automated replies and spam can inflate counts. Then compare with Help Scout and Intercom at the same volume. Most of an ecommerce desk's tickets are order status and stock questions, so a store that also wants to cut the "is it back in stock" tickets at the source can start with inventory forecasting that flags stockouts before customers ask.
