monday service is priced per seat with a 3 user minimum. Billed yearly, Standard is $31 and Pro is $45 per seat per month, and Enterprise is quoted by sales. A 10 agent team pays $3,720 a year on Standard or $5,400 on Pro. Monthly billing is not discounted, and teams over 40 users are asked to request a quote. For a support or IT lead the routing question sits under the price: every plan can rotate tickets with Assignment routing in the Agent column, but the round robin block inside the workflow builder is an Enterprise feature, and none of the native options looks at how many open tickets an agent already holds.

The plan prices, limits and billing answers below were read from the monday service pricing page in October 2026, and the routing details come from monday's own Help Center articles on smart assignment and service automations. Prices are per seat per month in USD and exclude tax. monday's pricing page shows euro amounts to some visitors, but the figures are the same numbers, and US sources quote the identical $31 and $45.

There is no free plan. monday's own answer to whether a free version exists is a 14-day trial, after which you buy a plan. Yearly billing is charged upfront in one installment, monday's FAQ puts the yearly discount at 18%, and a yearly plan cancelled within 30 days of payment gets a prorated refund. Qualified nonprofits can apply for discounted pricing.

How much does monday service cost for 5, 10 and 25 agents?

Seat count drives the bill more than anything else, because every agent who works tickets needs a paid seat. Customer portal users do not take seats; they are capped by plan instead, at 10, 100 or unlimited. Here is the yearly cost at list price.

Team sizeStandard, per yearPro, per yearDifference
5 agents$1,860$2,700$840
10 agents$3,720$5,400$1,680
25 agents$9,300$13,500$4,200

On monthly billing the same seats cost more. monday does not list the monthly figure in the page text we read, but with yearly set at 18% below monthly, expect roughly $38 a seat on Standard and $55 on Pro. A team that grows past 40 users leaves the self-serve grid and gets a quote, which is also where Enterprise lives.

Which monday service plan do you need for ticket routing?

This is the question that changes the decision for most support and IT leads, and the pricing grid barely mentions it. monday documents three ways to put an agent on a ticket automatically.

  • Assignment routing in the Agent column. Open the three-dot menu on the Agent column of the Tickets board, choose Settings, then Assignment routing, and pick a team. Each new ticket goes to the next person in that team, and the rotation resets every 30 days. The Help Center lists it for monday service without naming a plan, so it is the round robin you get on Standard.
  • The Round robin assignment block in the workflow builder. This is the same rotation combined with other triggers and steps, such as setting a priority first or notifying the agent. monday marks it as available on the monday service Enterprise plan.
  • Auto-assign people with monday AI. You pick an input column such as Priority, list the people who can receive tickets with their skills or roles, and the AI matches each ticket to an agent. It draws on the AI credits that come with each plan.

Two limits apply across all three. The rotation is fixed order with a 30 day reset, and monday's documentation of these options never mentions open ticket load, so an agent holding 30 unresolved tickets gets the next one when it is their turn. And customer portal users can never be set in a People column by any automation, since they are not monday.com account members. We cover the mechanics in detail on our page about monday.com auto assign tasks and round robin assignment.

Is monday service Pro worth it over Standard?

For routing alone, no. Pro does not add a routing method that Standard lacks; the round robin workflow block skips Pro and goes straight to Enterprise. Pro earns its $14 a seat when you need what it does add: auto-responses for every channel, AI triage across three ticket boards instead of one (useful when IT, HR and facilities each run their own board), a portal for up to 100 outside users, and dashboards that combine up to 20 boards. A single support team with one ticket board and a small portal usually lives fine on Standard.

Enterprise is the plan to price when you need HIPAA compliance, multi-level permissions, unlimited portal users, or rotation combined with other workflow logic. Ask sales for the quote at your seat count before assuming the routing block alone justifies it.

What does fair ticket routing cost on top of monday service?

If the reason you are pricing a higher plan is that tickets pile onto the same two agents, compare it with keeping your plan and adding an assignment layer. Assigner sits beside monday service, takes each new ticket, picks one available agent by rotation, open load, skills and shift, and writes that agent back into the Agent column with a recorded reason. It is published from $7 per user per month billed yearly on Starter with a five user minimum, and Team, which adds load balanced and priority routing across tickets, leads and ops tasks, is $18. For 10 agents that is $2,160 a year on Team next to $3,720 for monday service Standard, compared with an Enterprise quote you do not have yet.

The same comparison applies outside monday. Intercom keeps workload based assignment on its Expert seat, which we break down on our page about Intercom assignment rules and balanced assignment, and Zendesk gates skills routing to Professional, covered in our Zendesk pricing per agent breakdown. Help desks tend to price fair routing as an upper tier feature, which is why a separate engine is often the cheaper route.

How to estimate your monday service bill before the demo

  1. Count agents, not employees. Everyone who resolves tickets needs a seat. People who only submit requests use the portal, so check whether your requester count fits under 10 on Standard or 100 on Pro.
  2. Count ticket boards. AI triage covers 1 board on Standard and 3 on Pro. If several departments each run their own intake, that number decides the plan sooner than seats do.
  3. Decide how tickets get an owner. Agent column rotation on Standard, the workflow block on Enterprise, or an outside engine that balances by load. Price the method, not the plan name.
  4. Check growth. Past 40 users you are on a quote. If your queue grows faster than you can hire, it can be cheaper to hire an outside support team for overflow than to add seats for coverage you only need at peak.

Run those four numbers and the plan usually picks itself. If the gap you are trying to close is uneven workload, try the routing studio at the top of this page with your own agents and caps and see who each ticket would go to, and why, before you upgrade anything.
